[Ta Kung Pao and Wen Wei Po] Hong Kong-funded enterprises are accelerating their expansion into overseas markets. On June 5, the Paper Expo China 2025 was held in Guangzhou. More than 300 exhibitors from home and abroad displayed on the same stage. The scale of the exhibition reached a new height, attracting more than 10,000 professional buyers from more than 20 countries and regions around the world.

Among them, Hong Kong-based paper companies have further expanded markets along the "Belt and Road" and set up production bases in Southeast Asia. At the same time, they have also adopted internationally advanced technologies and large-scale modern and intelligent equipment to provide more competitive industrial chain services through digitalization and intelligence.

Hong Kong Companies Deepen Their Presence in Southeast Asia, Europe and the Middle East

"As a Hong Kong-based enterprise, LEE&MAN PAPER MANUFACTURING LTD. currently has more than ten packaging paper, pulp and tissue paper bases in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Chongqing, Jiangxi, Guangxi and other places. We also have production facilities in Vietnam, Malaysia and other countries. At the same time, we own offices in Hong Kong, Macau, Europe, the United States and other places, and continue to expand possible domestic and overseas markets."

Staff from Hong Kong company Lee&Man Paper Manufacturing said that the company's paper-making capacity ranks among the top in the global paper industry. It has currently achieved integrating packaging paper, toilet paper and pulp industry chains, and has deployed an "end-to-end" supply chain management system that integrates data from the entire chain of orders, transportation and warehousing to achieve "one order to the end" visualized tracking.

Relying on the dual-core layout of "port + river basin", Lee&Man Paper has established production bases in industrial hinterlands such as the Pearl River Delta, the Yangtze River Delta and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and has deepened its layout in Southeast Asia, Europe and the Middle East markets.

Among them, the Chongqing Lee&Man production base, as a southwest logistics hub, takes advantage of the intersection of the Yangtze River's golden waterway and the railway intersections, has its own modern terminal to support multi-modal transport, achieving seamless connection between global procurement of raw materials and distribution of finished products. Production bases in other countries such as Vietnam and Malaysia can further shorten the delivery radius of the Southeast Asian market and form a logistics network "centered on China while radiating the world."

Among these, Nine Dragons Paper entered the ASEAN market by completing the acquisition and holding of Vietnam Zhengyang Paper Mill; then expanded the second phase of the Vietnam base project and became the leading paper-making enterprise in Vietnam. In addition, Nine Dragons Paper also acquired a pulp and paper mill in Bentong, Malaysia and expanded it, meanwhile built a new intelligent paper-making base in Selangor, Malaysia.
